The Amica Newport Marathon and Half-Marathon starts/finishes at Easton’s Beach (map) in Newport, Rhode Island. There is no parking at the race start/finish. Participants are welcome to walk, bike or be dropped off at the start, but otherwise please follow directions to your designated parking locations below.
Nothing beats coastal running in Newport — but for all of Aquidneck Island’s beauty, traffic and parking can be difficult. Please be sure to afford enough time to reach your designated parking location, shuttle to the race start, and prepare for the race. We advise arriving at your designated parking lot as close to 5:00 AM as possible.
Carpooling or biking to the start are strongly encouraged.
Traffic and Community Impact
We consider ourselves very fortunate to be able to share the beauty of Newport and Middletown with our runners. Please be respectful of the local communities and do your best to only discard clothing layers and trash at aid stations and/or mile-markers.
The race starts and finishes at Easton’s Beach. Roads will be managed by the Newport and Middletown Police Departments and will largely remain open to traffic throughout the day, but delays and temporary stoppages can be expected from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM throughout the course.
