Our Mission
The Amica Newport Marathon and Half Marathon are races that you can feel particularly good about running. By participating, you’re not only doing something good for yourself, but you’re also helping others. The race’s charitable partners are the Ronald McDonald House of Providence, Aquidneck Land Trust, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, Boys Town New England, The Newport County YMCA, and Clean Ocean Access.
The Amica Newport Marathon donates upwards of $50,000 to these local organizations. We encourage all runners to join our Fundraising Page to create an additional impact through this event.
Aquidneck Land Trust
The Aquidneck Land Trust’s mission is to preserve the Island’s open spaces and natural character for the lasting benefit of our community.
Boys Town New England
Boys Town New England’s mission is to change the way America cares for children, families and communities by providing and promoting an Integrated Continuum of Care that instills Boys Town values to strengthen body, mind and spirit.
Clean Ocean Access
Clean Ocean Access is a nonprofit organization with the vision of a clean, healthy ocean that is accessible to all. Since we began in 2006, COA has worked to support a healthy coastal environment through community science and engagement. COA is focused primarily on Aquidneck and Conanicut Islands, with programs and partnerships extending across Rhode Island and the Northeast. Our founding programs of Clean, Ocean, and Access focus on eliminating marine debris, improving water quality, and protecting and preserving shoreline access. Grounded by our values, COA strives to achieve our vision through our mission to inspire and educate the community to take action through environmentally responsible behaviors.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center
Since 1922, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center has continued to evolve in providing a safe and nurturing environment for the changing needs of Newport County residents who seek nutritional, educational, and social supports to improve the quality of their lives.
Newport County YMCA
The Newport County YMCA is an association of people of all ages, ethnic origins, religious affiliations and socio-economic levels. The basis of the association is founded in Judeo-Christian values and its purpose is to significantly improve and positively influence the quality of life and social well being for our members, our families and our community.
