The Amica Newport Marathon was voted as the “Best Marathon in Rhode Island” and a “Top 20 Half Marathon in the USA” in 2019. In 2015 and 2016 the race was voted as the “Best Half Marathon” and the “Best Race Swag” in the Northeast.

Awards and Divisions
A finisher’s medal will be given to all 26.2 and 13.1 race participants. Awards will be presented following the race to the:
- Top 3 male and female runners
- Top 3 in each age group (5 year increments, Under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+)
Course Certification & Boston Qualifying
Both courses are certified by USA Track & Field. Marathon finishers can use their net time for qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Net time is calculated when the individual runner crosses the leave the start line and finish line.
