Is there a place to leave my belongings at the race start?

Athletes wishing to drop off gear will be able to do so near the start/finish line at the Beach Pavilion at Easton’s Beach beginning at 6:00 AM on race morning. A designated drop off location will be set up and athletes will use the number they are given during registration to identify their gear bag. Athletes will need their own bag as they will not be provided by the event.

Mile 6 — The panoramic seaside views continue as you make your way along Ocean Ave. On particularly breezy race mornings, a light spray from the crashing waves may serve to cool you off, as you're really hitting your stride by this point in the race.

Mile 5 — You've rounded the corner onto Ocean Ave. to jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, and *fingers crossed*, a tail wind. The sun rising over breaking waves make it hard to keep a smile off your face for the next three miles of epic scenery.

Mile 4 - you're running past the entrance to Fort Adams! The Fort was originally built in 1799 as part of the First System of U.S. coastal defenses and named for President John Adams. Rebuilt between 1824 and 1857 under the more expansive Third System, it served through five major wars (including the Civil War, World Wars I and II) without firing in anger, and today forms the centerpiece of Fort Adams State Park and a National Historic Landmark.

Mile 3 — Time to really settle in to your own pace. Look to the left and watch the sheep grazing at the natural wonderland of Ocean Hour Farm before grabbing a quick cup of water or Nuun at the Fort Adams aid station. After hydrating, look to the right at mile 4 to take in historic Hammersmith Farm; a beautiful rolling farm and estate that was the childhood home of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy!

Mile 2 — After sprinting through downtown and along shop-lined Thames St, the pack tends to open up a little bit along Wellington Ave. Look to the right, as the sun comes up on the Newport Pell Bridge and perhaps spot an arriving cruise ship. Take advantage of these relatively flat and easy miles to settle into your pace.
